Process Management
This is defined as "the application of creative thought to
basic business practices that results in quantum gains in
recorded results." This is a step-by-step approach that
uses process mapping as a vehicle to graphically indicate the
current workflow of a designated process. Each step is
questioned as to why the step is performed as well as
how it is performed. Only after the project has
been fully mapped can modifications be made resulting in
significant changes, improvements, and even elimination of
past practices. The end result is an improved, seamless
procedure providing quantum leap changes reflected in improved
client satisfaction.

Project Management
All organizations and individuals are either reactive or
proactive. History will record that the most successful
organizations and individuals were highly proactive. One
vehicle that has withstood the test of time is Project
Management. This technique was used by the military to
manage a large number of activities. Other disciplines,
such as Engineers, have also recognized the value of being
able to track manufacturing, record the progress, and meet
demanding schedules. A number of techniques may be used,
such as critical path, WIP, PERT diagramming, and flow
charting. Project Management may be used when it is
necessary to have a number of activities being performed at
the same time and when it is necessary to coordinate these
activities and meet a scheduled deadline.
